Friday, September 14, and Saturday, September 15, marked the beginning of the transformation of the former MainSource Bank Building to the Dr. Mary Ludwig Free Clinic, Montgomery County’s Volunteers in Medicine (VIM) Clinic for the uninsured of Montgomery County. Volunteers from Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, Akers & Associates Architects, Inc., Akers Construction Services, MCFreeClinic Board members, Wabash College faculty, and Wabash students, made a difference on Friday and Saturday. And while the work so far has been destructive, more than 15 doors, frames and trim were salvaged for Habitat for Humanity.
